“The Fox By Greene King Inns stands out for its prime location near the Abbey gardens and the town's amenities, offering both convenience and a touch of glamour in select rooms, like room 6 with its statement bath and chandeliers; however, some areas could use a refresh, especially concerning dust and cleanliness. For those prioritizing location and character, this inn presents a compelling option.”

Excellent Stay Near Abbey Gardens
great locationconvenient parking
I found the location to be excellent. The staff offered a friendly welcome. I enjoyed the warm and clean room. The room provided convenient parking right next to it.
Location
9/10
The inn is located opposite Abbey Gardens, a beautiful spot for walks. It is a short walking distance from all restaurants and other amenities (i especially liked that it was close to everything). Market Hill and shops are easily accessible.
Dining
8/10
I ate at the pub one night and enjoyed my meal and the service. Breakfast included items requiring requests rather than a self-serve buffet. This approach possibly saves costs and reduces food waste.
Rooms
9/10
The room included air conditioning and the possibility to park right outside the door. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and excellent decor (i liked the chandeliers). The rooms are in a terrace of converted stables in the car park.
